KTFF, channel 61, is a Spanish-language television station for the California's Central Valley. It is licensed to Porterville, California, USA. The station also has a translator, KTFF-LP, channel 41, in Fresno. As a Telefutura affiliate, KTFF offers soap operas, movies, sports and cartoons. At night, however, the station broadcasts religious programming in English (see below).

History

KTFF signed on the air in 1992 as KKAK (changed to KKAG in 1994), an independent station airing infomercials, religious shows, and home shopping.

KKAG was later sold to Paxson Communications and the call letters were changed to KPXF, and became a Pax affiliate.

By 2003, KPXF was sold to Univision, in which it became KTFF and affiliated with TeleFutura.

KTFF-LP was purchased from Cocola Broadcasting, which operated the station as KAJA-LP channel 68, which used to carry "Shop at Home" programming. Ironically, the KAJA calls (albeit fake) and the channel number are both used on K68DJ in Corpus Christi, Texas.

In 2007, the Federal Communications Commission issued an order concerning KTFF and its former owner, Paxson Communications. This order denied the review of the sale of KTFF to Univision, as well as implementing a deal with Christian Network, Inc. (CNI) , a KTFF program supplier, in which;

CNI has the right to program KTFF(TV)’s primary analog and digital channel from 1 am to 6 am [overnight] , Eastern and Pacific Time, seven days a week. If, during the transition to digital television, the licensee decides to commence multicasting using 2 multicast channels, then the licensee must also make available a third digital channel for CNI’s exclusive use, so long as certain conditions are met.
