Karoonjhar Mountains

Karoonjhar Mountains are located in Tharparkar, Sindh, Pakistan.

The Karoonjhar Mountain in Tharparkar area of Sindh has geological formation of pre-Cambrian character relating to the first period in the Palaeozoic era. The Khirthar range of mountains in the west of Sindh, the Lakki Hills near Sehwan, Ganjo Takar of Hyderabad, Rohri hills, and Karachi hills carry evidence of the stone Age.

Karoonjhar Dam is being constructed to supply water and electricity to people of Tharparkar and Nangarparkar.
