Vienna and at theCollegium Romanum . An erudite Biblical scholar, he possessed an excellent knowledge of Greek, Latin and Hebrew. His Polish translation of the Bible shaped the style of Polish Biblical language.In addition to his translations, he published works in dogmatics, but gained particular fame with popular collections of
sermon s: "Postilla catholica" (1573-75) and "Postilla mniejsza" (Lesser Postilla, 1579-80).References
