- Aračinovo
Aračinovo ( _mk. Арачиново, _sq. Haraçina) is a village in the
Republic of Macedonia , north ofSkopje . It is the seat ofAračinovo municipality . Aračinovo is one of the larger villages inRepublic of Macedonia with a population of about 7,000.During the
2001 Macedonia conflict , it was occupied by ethnic Albanian insurgents. Later, during violence of the 2008 parliamentary election, a gunman in Aračinovo opened fire on security police.
