The club was established in 1919 as "Fußball Club Fürstenfeldbruck". The team is part of a sports club which, apart from football, also offers its members
badminton andtable tennis .Through most of the 70s and 80s the team played in the Amateurliga Bayern (III) - later known as the Amateur
Oberliga Bayern . In 1981 the club made its only appearance inDFB-Pokal (German Cup), going out in the opening round. 'SC' was relegated to lower tier competition in 1988 and returned to the fourth tier Oberliga Bayern (Bayernliga) in 2002. They regularly earned upper table results there until 2007 when a poor 17th place finish saw the club sent down to theLandesliga Bayern-Süd (V).Recent seasons
