The Sodbury Players are a dramatic association well-known throughout South-West
England ,UK . They were founded in 1946 inChipping Sodbury ,Gloucestershire . 60 years on, they are affiliated to theNational Operatic and Dramatic Association (NODA), and are members ofAvon Association of Drama (AAD).They perform 3 main productions each year, beginning with a pantomime in January, a spring production in May and an Autumn production in September. The Sodbury Players have also premièred several original works including the three act play
Booze, Bungee and Blackleg bySteve Mercer andThe Hound of the Baskervilles bySir Arthur Conan Doyle , adapted for the stage byRoy Whitlow .In addition to this, they enter a one act play into the
