Pawel Maciag

Pawel Maciag, is a Polish journalist and lawyer. Editor-in-chief of the largest Polish newspaper in US - "Super Express USA""'.

Paweł Maciąg graduated from prestigious Warsaw University's Department of Law in the Institute of International Law. Ranked as a first from the list of 10 best University's in Poland [http://www.rzeczpospolita.pl/dodatki/praca_060419/praca_a_2.html] .

Maciag has been a Polish media United States correspondent since 1999, and attends United States Foreign Press Center briefings [http://www.state.gov/p/eur/rls/rm/53591.htm] . He also, as an eyewitness, covered the September 11, 2001 attacks on the World Trade Center for Polsat Television and the National Polish News Agency - PAP (Polish Press Agency).

Since 2002 he has been the editor-in-chief at "Super Express USA" (one of the largest and most notable Polish daily newspapers in USA with circulation over 20000 copies for the weekend edition) with the headquarters in Financial District [http://www.ny.com/sights/neighborhoods/financial_district.html] in downtown Manhattan, New York.

In addition he is a respected member of the United Nations Correspondent Association in New York which he is a member in good standing. He is also active in many U.N. related charitable events. He is also a member of the Independent Press Association and author of hundreds of articles.

Mr. Maciag is a Fellow of the United States Information Agency with a one year fellowship for professional journalism at Bradley University - at the Global Communications Center [http://www.bradley.edu/buildings/gcc.shtml] in Peoria, Illinois, a Fellow of the New York Times Company Foundation (Institute for the Ethnic Press) in the "New York Times" headquarters in Manhattan in 2003 and a Fellow of the Government of Germany course for journalist in Prien, Bavaria (Bayern) [http://www.prien.chiemsee.de/default_e.htm]

Paweł Maciąg started his journalistic career in 1992 in the Polish Press Agency headquarters in Warsaw, Poland (social and then political desk), while studying law. In 1993 joined Polsat TV - largest private network in Poland. He served as a reporter and foreign desk editor.
