March 1 ,1986 ) is a beauty queen who has competed in the Miss USA pageant.Holvey was born in
Houston, Texas , later lived inMorgantown, West Virginia and resided inBuies Creek, North Carolina during her reign. Holvey competed in her first Miss Universe Organization pageant in 2004, when she placed fourth runner-up in theMiss West Virginia Teen USA pageant and in late 2005 won theMiss North Carolina USA 2006 pageant in her first attempt at that title. She succeededChelsea Cooley , who held the Miss North Carolina USA 2005 title until she won theMiss USA title in April 2005.Holvey represented
North Carolina in theMiss USA 2006 pageant broadcast live fromBaltimore, Maryland onApril 21 ,2006 . She did not place in the nationally televised pageant, which was won byTara Conner of Kentucky.Holvey graduated from
Morgantown High School inMorgantown, West Virginia in 2004 then moved to North Carolina to study Mass Communications fromCampbell University . Apart from her studies, she is a producer at the Campbell University Radio Station.Holvey is a
4-H All-Star and has received the4-H Spirit of Camp award. She previously represented theUnited States at theGlobal Young Leaders Summit . She is also an accomplishedvolleyball player, having been selected for an All-State Team. Other academic accolations include being listed onWho's Who Among American High School Students , theNational Dean's List , and being awarded aScott E Ellis Scholarship.Her interests include sand volleyball,
dancing ,writing ,travelling and playingsoccer at midnight. She stands 6 feet tall.References
