Trooperslane is a hamlet between Greenisland and Carrickfergus. The station was opened on 11 April 1848. [cite web | title=Trooperslane station | work=Railscot - Irish Railways | url=http://www.railscot.co.uk/Ireland/Irish_railways.pdf | accessdate=2007-08-28] For many years it was served by a handful of trains Mondays to Saturdays only. One service made a request stop on a Sunday in each direction however this was stopped until Northern Ireland Railways introduced a new clock-face timetable, the station saw a regular Sunday service, with nearly all trains every day serving the station. Trooperslane also has a level crossing, supervised by closed-circuit television.
