Ryde St John's Road railway station serves the town of Ryde, Isle of Wight. The station is 1¼ miles south of Ryde Pier Head on the Island Line.
Adjacent to the station is the Ryde depot, the Island Line's traction maintenance depot. Since 1989, all the signalling for the line has been centralised in the signal box at the station.
It has been suggested that the Isle of Wight Steam Railway might be extended from Smallbrook Junction to here in the future, but there are currently no official proposals.
ervices
Monday to Saturday daytimes there are two trains per hour northbound to Ryde Pier Head and southbound to Shanklin. This is reduced to only one train per hour in the evenings and on off-season Sunday mornings. Occasionally a 20-minute frequency is operated, usually for dates of extreme usage like the August Bank Holiday.
