WKTA (1330 AM) is a radio station broadcasting a World Ethnic format. Licensed to Evanston, Illinois, USA the station serves the Chicago area. The station is currently owned by Polnet Communications, Ltd.. History

In 1989, WSSY switched call letters to WKTA, and began to program a hard rock and heavy metal format as "G-Force 1330." The rock format was the brainchild of local Chicago radio personality Guy Giuliano, known to listeners as "The G-Ster." For several years the format was successful, and brought positive press for WKTA via the Chicago Tribune, Chicago Sun-Times, and NBC 5 News. Later, G-Force would emerge into a new format known as "Rebel Radio" under G-Force alumnist Scott Davidson. WKTA would became a flagship station for the hard rock network, which was syndicated to other stations in the midwest. Rebel Radio continues to air on WKTA Sundays.

Today, WKTA is the home of brokered ethnic programming such as "New Life Russian Radio, Korean Radio", and "Austrian Rundfunk." WKTA was previously known as WSSY "Sunny 1330" which was an Adult Contemporary format.
