SCATS (Southern County Agricultural Trading Store) Countrystore's are a chain of stores that sell a range of products for everyday living. Located in the south of England, there are currently, 18 stores across the southern counties which range from Kent to Dorset up to Berkshire. SCATS Countrystores were set up initially in 1907, and are now celebrating the century of business. They now are owned by the larger company, the Mole Valley Farmers Group.

SCATS- Sri Lankan Study Centre for the Advancement of Technology and Social Welfare(www.scatsorg.org) is a non profit voluntary organization established in 1992 by a group of Sri Lankan expatriates living in Australia.SCATS objectives are to assist and advise governmental and non governmental organizations in Sri Lanka for introduction of advance and appropriate technology and upliftment of education, health and welfare services.SCATS is also working towards sustaining cultural traditions among Sri Lankan living out side Sri Lanka while promoting Sri Lankan Cultural and traditional values.

SCATS stands for "Sydney Coordinated Adaptive Traffic System". SCATS is an area or urban traffic control (UTC) system. SCATS primarily manages the dynamic (on-line, real-time) timing of signal phases at traffic signals, meaning that it tries to find the best phasing (i.e. cycle times, phase splits and offsets) for the current traffic situation (for individual intersections as well as for the whole network). These adaptive actions are done automatically based on data derived from loop detectors or other road traffic sensors, but may also be adapted by human traffic controllers who observe the whole system.

SCATS is a product of the RTA New South Wales, Australia, and was developed in and for the Sydney road network. Since its original development, SCATS has been installed in over 100 cities throughout the world. Countries where SCATS has been installed include Australia, New Zealand (Auckland and other cities), China, Poland and the Republic of Ireland.

SCATS stands for StapleCross amatuer theatrical society, it is a drama group in the village of Staplecross which produces pantomimes every year in January.
