The Gambit (born Anssi Lähteenoja in 1982 in Turku, Finland) is a producer, rapper, record producer, MBA and LL.M grad. He owns a record company, Queen Gambit Laboratoires (QGL), which is specialized in rap and hip hop music. QGL is distributed by Edel Records. Despite his origin, The Gambit speaks fluent english and has been influenced by the rappers living in Florida.

Although The Gambit has said to start his career in 1996, he went public in 2004 with a single called "Gravity Laws". The lyrics were written by him and the song was produced by a Finnish hip hop producer, DJ Staffro. In the summer of 2005, The Gambit produced his single, "Move Gambit / Cos My Clique Is", which debuted #9 on the Finnish single charts. A few months later, he released his first music video of the song "Cos My Clique Is". The Gambit released his debut album, "Rosary", in November 2007. The Gambit produced all 15 tracks of the album except Hoo-ha! (Hood High), which was produced by Tempo Giusto. Rosary contains guest appearances from such acts as Psycho Les of The Beatnuts, Nighthawk's guitarist Paul Bell and Finnish opera singer Marika Krook.
