The sphenopalatine artery passes through the
sphenopalatine foramen into the cavity of thenose , at the back part of thesuperior meatus . Here it gives off itsposterior lateral nasal branches .Crossing the under surface of the sphenoid the sphenopalatine artery ends on the
nasal septum as theposterior septal branches .Clinical significance
This artery is often ligated surgically to control severe
