village inBuckinghamshire ,England , situated in theparish ofChepping Wycombe .The name is derived from the large tiling industry that used to exist here. In ancient times, the village was known as Garrett or Gerrard Green. Today, the village is part of the
Chiltern Hills and from here there are many pleasant walks throughbeech forest which once supplied thefurniture industry in High Wycombe. The village is adjoined on one side to
Hazlemere and on the other to Penn. Indeed "Penn and Tylers Green" are often referred to as one. It centres around a large village green where an annualFête is held. In one corner of the green there is a large duck pond. St Margaret's church was built in 1854 of flint and stone with a wooden bell chamber on top that was added in 1890.In 2006 the woodland that separates the village from Totteridge, Micklefield and
High Wycombe (Kingswood ) was cordoned off bypolice to conduct a fingertip search for evidence linked to the2006 transatlantic aircraft plot . The woodland remained cordoned off for four months before eventually being released in November 2006.
