Varjão is a small

Varjão is located 77 km. southwest of
Goiânia and is 26 km. southeast ofCezarina . Highway connections fromGoiânia are made by BR-060/Abadia de Goiás /Guapó /GO-413.Aragoiânia ,Cezarina ,Indiara ,Mairipotaba are adjacent to Varjão. Its postcode (CEP) is 75355-000, and its IBGE statistical microregion is 014Vale do Rio dos Bois .As of 2007, Varjão's urban population was 2,192 and its rural population was 1,457. Government
Eustáquio Ricardo de Souza is Varjão's mayor (as of January 2005), and the city council has nine members. There are 3,022 eligible voters (as of April 2006).

The economy is based on subsistence agriculture, cattle raising, services, public administration, and small transformation industries.
