Islington Green School

Islington Green School also known as IGS was a comprehensive mixed secondary school. (1966-2008) The school was situated in North London and has an age range of 11-16. The City of London Academy, Islington will replace Islington Green School in September 2008 [ [http://www.islington.gov.uk/education/SchoolYears/secondary/ig/ Islington council announcement] ]

The school's choir was featured in Pink Floyd's 1979 album "The Wall" in the song "Another Brick in the Wall (Part II). [http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/entertainment/4047533.stm "Pink Floyd pupils claim royalties"] , BBC News Story (accessed October 12, 2006)]

The school was used as a location to film the BBC drama "That Summer Day", a fictional account of the effect the bombings of the London public transport system on July 7, 2005 had on 6 children.
