Studio Maestro is a
ballet School inNew York City founded in1995 by Rose Caiola. It has become New York City's premier classical ballet academy. A portion of its students graduate into some of the finest ballet companies includingAmerican Ballet Theatre ,New York City Ballet ,Washington Ballet ,National Ballet of Croatia ,Pennsylvania Ballet ,National Ballet of Canada ,San Francisco Ballet ,Ballet de Espana and others.The school program is modeled after the great
Europe an schools of ballet and is taught in eight levels, each of which has a specific set of skills that the student must master in order to advance to the next level. The syllabus at each level progressively builds a solid foundation both technically and artistically.The school also has a four week summer program held in August of every year.
The school's new state-of-the-art facility at the Manhattan Movement and Arts Center at 248 W. 60th Street, New York, New York, opened with a ribbon-cutting evening gala on June 26, 2008.
Francois Perron is the Managing Artistic Director of Studio Maestro. It is the only New York City classical ballet program modeled on the European system of training. Studio Maestro, in the midst of New York City, reflects the vibrancy of its location. There, Perron oversees and teaches an eight level program. Faculty for the 2008-2009 year includeNadege Hottier ,Deborah Wingert ,Natalia Boesch , andMarina Stavitskaya . In addition to the enrolled students, dancers from the School of American Ballet and the Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis School are permitted to audit classes at Studio Maestro. The well-attended annual Spring Gala Performance for 2008 included excerpts of classics byGeorge Balanchine ,Marius Petipa ,Martha Graham ,Bryan Arias-Diaz , andTom Baird .External links
