Reed A. Albee

Reed A. Albee (April 1886 – August 2, 1961) was a theatre owner.

He was the son of Edward Franklin Albee II (1857–1930), who was a vaudeville impresario. He had a sister: Ethel Albee (1890-?). Reed married Louise Williams, an actress, whom he divorced on February 26, 1925. She was his second marriage. On March 7, 1925 Reed married Frances Cotter in Jersey City, New Jersey. She worked at Jay Thorpe, Inc. at 24 West Fifty-seventh Street in Manhattan. They moved to Larchmont, New York and adopted Edward Franklin Albee III (1928- ).
