Los Angeles Dodgers in the 16th round of the 1988MLB amateur draft, Traxler made hisMajor League Baseball debut with the Dodgers on April 24, 1990.Traxler played a number of seasons for the
Albuquerque Dukes minor league baseball club. To this day, he is remembered fondly as a favorite all-time player of many Dukes fans. In fact, he was a fan favorite everywhere he went across his 13 seasons as a pro (1988-2000). He was a hitting instructor in the Dodgers minor-league system after his playing career ended.On November 19, 2004, Traxler died after enduring a coma for two weeks.
