- Lenaderg
Lenaderg (Irish: "Lena Dhearg" meaning "The Red Site") is a small
village inCounty Down ,Northern Ireland , around two miles fromBanbridge and a half mile from the village ofLawrencetown . In the 2001 Census it had a population of 261 people. It lies within theBanbridge District Council area and situated on the banks of theRiver Bann .Milltown Bleach Works at Lenaderg, which was demolished in the mid-20th century, was an important employer. A group of mill workers’ houses still remains.
