Human Awareness Institute

The Human Awareness Institute (HAI) was founded in 1968 by Dr. Stan Dale, DHS. Since 1968, HAI has offered workshops dealing with intimate relationships and human sexuality. History

The Human Awareness Institute was founded in the San Francisco Bay Area in by former radio broadcaster, Stan Dale in 1968 [San Francisco Chronicle, 6/12/2007] . The organization was originally called "The Helen and Stan Dale Sex Workshops." Founder

Dr. Stan Dale founded the Love, Intimacy & Sexuality workshops in 1968, part of a lifetime of international teachings, workshops, and citizen diplomacy missionsFact|date=March 2008, including university appointments in China [ [http://www.sexualintelligence.org/awards.html Sexual Intelligence by Marty Klein, Ph.D ] ] . Recipient of seven lifetime achievement awards Fact|date=March 2008 including the controversial Gandhi Peace Award, he wrote "Fantasies Can Set You Free," "My Child Myself" and contributed to numerous publications Fact|date=March 2008. Dr. Dale dedicated himself to a beliefs in "unconditional love" and "creating a world where everyone wins." Controversy

The Human Awareness Institute is categorized by someWho|date=September 2008 as a Large Group Awareness Training program similar to Landmark Forum.There have been critiques of HAI's use of peer facilitators and interns (most of whom are not licensed professionals.)
