Doug Cunningham (b. October 13, 1954 in Osmond, Nebraska) is a former Nebraska State Senator from Wausa, Nebraska in the Nebraska Legislature and the Consultant-Director for the Hometown Merchants Association.
Personal life
Cunningham graduated from Wausa High School in 1972. He is a member of many Wausa and Knox County organizations, including local Republican groups and the volunteer fire department. He also belongs to the National Grocers Association, Osmond General Hospital Foundation Board, and Thabor Lutheran Church.
State legislature
He was elected in 2000 to represent the 40th Nebraska legislative district and reelected in 2002. He currently sits on the Agriculture and Health and Human Services committees as well as being the chairperson of the Business and Labor committee.
