The Eckert–Mauchly award, initiated in 1979, is an award given by the
Association for Computing Machinery for contributions to digital systems andcomputer architecture . It was named forJohn Presper Eckert andJohn William Mauchly , who in 1947 collaborated on the design and construction of the first large scale electronic computing machine, known asENIAC , the Electronic Numerical Integrator and Computer.List of winners
