Edward Lucas (journalist)

Edward Lucas (born 1962) is a British journalist.

Lucas works for "The Economist", the London-based global newsweekly. He has been covering eastern Europe since 1986, and was the Moscow bureau chief from 1998-2002. He was educated at Winchester College, the London School of Economics and the Jagiellonian University in Cracow. He has contributed to several books, including "Why I am still an Anglican" (Continuum 2006). His father is the Oxford philosopher John Lucas, and he is married to the columnist Cristina Odone.

Edward Lucas's latest book, "The New Cold War", has been published in eleven countries.
