Wang Kelian is a
Perlis border town on theMalaysia-Thailand Border . It is one of two border crossings between Malaysia and Thailand in the state of Perlis. The other isPadang Besar . The village across the border from Wang Kelian isWang Prachan inSatun province , SouthernThailand .The village was a popular destinations for tourists and locals on Saturdays and Sundays because of a huge market on both sides of the border. The governments of Malaysia and Thailand at that time allowed people to move freely across the border to shop without the need for any documents.
