Paris ,France . It is located 18.4 km. (11.4 miles) from the center of Paris.Geography
The commune of Le Pecq is located in a loop of the
Seine river, 19 km west ofParis , at the foot of the castle ofSaint-Germain-en-Laye .Its territory is distributed on two banks of the river and includes the small Corbière island. It is highly urbanized except for the Corbière island, which is partially protected as a nesting zone for migratory birds. Until after the Second World war, an establishment of baths functioned on this island. Two other establishments related to water were famous in Le Pecq: an SPA exploiting the many sources of the hill of St-Germain and a natural water swimming pool 100 m length with sand beaches.
It borders the communes of
Saint-Germain-en-Laye andMareil-Marly in the west,Montesson andMesnil-le-Roi (Carrières-sous-Bois district) to the north,Croissy-sur-Seine andLe Vésinet in the east andMarly-le-Roi andLe Port-Marly to the south.History

May 31 ,1875 , a part of the territory of Le Pecq was detached and merged with a part of the territory ofChatou and a part of the territory ofCroissy-sur-Seine to create the commune ofLe Vésinet .Economy

*Railway viaduct: work dating from the end of the XIXe century.
