1964 Summer Olympics in Rowing (pairs) withGeorge Hungerford . They were also awarded theLou Marsh Trophy in 1964. He also competed in the1968 Summer Olympics and1972 Summer Olympics .He was the Director of
Sport Canada and was President for three terms of theCanadian Olympic Committee . From 1978 to 1988, he was the Dean of the Faculty of Kinesiology at theUniversity of Calgary . He was the founder and Director of the University of Calgary Sport Medicine Centre.In 2005, Roger Jackson was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Own the Podium 2010.
In 1984, he was made an Officer of the
Order of Canada . In 1964, he was inducted intoCanada's Sports Hall of Fame . In 2005, he was inducted into the University of British Columbia Sports Hall of Fame.References
