- Chhatra
Chhatra is the precious parasol umbrella, which is used as an auspicious symbol in
Indian religions .According to
Hindu mythology , it is the emblem ofVaruna , also considered an embodiment ofkingship . Chhatra is also a deity,yidam andishta-devata .Fact|date=December 2007 In various Dharmic Traditions it is an accoutrement ofchakravartin . A number of deities are depicted with Chhattra, and they includeRevanta ,Surya , andVishnu (in hisVamana avatar). The Chhatra is cordoned amongst the symbols that approachuniversality within the numerous suites or sets of Ashtamangala; e.g.:in theDigambar Jain tradition, andVajrayana tradition.In Dharmic Tradition
