radio station s operating at 1480kHz and 1550 kHz and located inRemsen, New York andUtica, New York respectively. They are the former members of the "Sports Stars Radio Network" that serves theCentral New York area. The two stations aired programming, alongside WRNY in Rome and WIXT in Little Falls-Herkimer, from
Clear Channel Communications 's operation in Utica.Galaxy Communications bought WRNY and WIXT, along with the Sports Stars network, in 2007. With the purchase, the network moves from WUTQ toWTLB in the city of Utica. The move was made due to WTLB's stronger signal.WUTQ and WADR were not included in the purchase and were sold to Ken Roser. The two stations temporarily simulcasted
WBGK in Newport Village, itself simulcasting theReal Country format fromABC Radio .The stations now broadcast a self produced "beautiful music" format. In addition, long time local radio program hosts Hank Brown as well as Joe Graziano are heard Monday thru Friday. On weekends, these mainstay local shows are broadcast: The Saturday Polka Review, Family Rosary Radio's "Sunday Morning," The Polish Varieties Program and The Voice of The New Italy.
