World Series . His Dodgers career came to an end when he was traded days before the start of the 1990 season to the Houston Astros for 26-year-old rookieTerry Wells . The trade was made after Stubbs had spent the entire prior season as a backup, having lost his starting role toEddie Murray .He went on to have a career year as the Astros first baseman in 1990 and cashed in on his free agency by signing with the
Milwaukee Brewers before the 1991 season.He is currently the batting coach for the
