Chris Franklin (born 1964) is an Australian stand up comedian and former sailor for the Royal Australian Navy. He is most famous for writing the song "Bloke" (a bogan parody of Meredith Brooks' feminist anthem "Bitch"), which reached #1 on the ARIA Charts in 2000. Through his music, Chris Franklin emulates the stereotypical Aussie 'bloke' or 'yobbo' frequently appearing in a flannelet shirt and double plugger thongs. Chris Franklin's "Hoganesque" style of comedy is aimed largely at the chief perceived concerns of the 'average' Australian: beer, sport and relationships.
