The Glommadal is a designation for the valley in
Norway formed by the riverGlomma . From lakeAursund in the north on south toElverum the valley is called theØsterdal . From that point south untilKongsvinger is referred to asSolør . As in turns westerly fromKongsvinger until Nes inRomerike (Akershus county), the Glommadal valley is called theOdal valley. These designations are traditional districts, reflecting the designations locals used for their region.Solør ,Odal ,Eidskog (which do not have any part of theGlomma pass through their municipality) as well asKongsvinger are sometimes referred to as the traditional districtGlåmdal .
