Wilson, North Carolina and serves the entire Raleigh-Durham-Fayetteville, North Carolina metropolitan area. The station is owned and operated byMulticultural Broadcasting , and runs infomercials 24 hours a day, except for children's programming to fulfill FCCE/I requirements, as well as a few local public affairs programs.This station operates on UHF channel 30 at 1,800 kilowatts and its digital signal operates on channel 42, also on the UHF dial at 95 kilowatts under a Special Temporary Authority and has filed for a construction permit to increase its transmission power to 873 kilowatts as authorized by the
Federal Communications Commission .The station was given the call letters WEOU on
February 18 ,1992 . However, the station was granted a license onApril 14 ,1995 . It signed on as WRAY-TV, and simulcasted the non-Fox network programming of Fayetteville's WFAY, Fox 62 (nowION Television affiliateWFPX ). When Scripps bought the station, its programming changed more towards home shopping.On
May 16 ,2006 , parent company E.W. Scripps announced that Shop at Home would be suspending operations, effectiveJune 22 ,2006 . September 26 ,2006 , Scripps announced that it was selling its Shop at Home stations, including WRAY, toMulticultural Television of New York City for $170 million.
