Gökhan Kırdar, born on
June 2 ,1970 inAydın , is a Turkish musician andfilm score composer .He attended Yıldız University in
Istanbul for study of architecture in 1988. However, he devoted himself to music and soon gained success with his soundtrack, released in 1993. Then he released two highly successful albums named "Serseri Mayın" and "Tutunamadım". During this era, his single "Yerine Sevemem" became a hit and even shadowed the name of its creator. He decided to go toİzmir and he studiedmusicology at the University of Septemter 9th.He established his own music company "Loopus Entertainment" in 1997, and released the first Turkish
electronic music album "Trip" with this label. This was a risky move but proved to be efficient, at least for creating a new view for the Turkish audience.Kırdar performed film scores for movies and TV series, which received awards or became very popular. Meanwhile, he contributes to a Turkish project titled "Self Project" with his work "Tüür" on the synthesis of Turkish music instruments since 2000 BCE with electronic music.

* 2002 Film score of "Tekfur Sarayı ve İstanbul" ("Tekfur Palace and Istanbul") awarded with "Special Audience Award" at the İstanbul Documentary Film Festival.
* 2002 Film score of the movie "Aliya" awarded with "Best documentary film of the Year" by the Turkish Association of Documentary Journalists.
* 2002 Film score of "Fırsat" ("Crude") awarded with "Best film" at the Los Angeles Film Festival. The music was released 2004 in the album "Keyf" ("Pleasure"). The album was introduced the same year inGreece ,Poland andLebanon . The title song "Keyf" took a place in an album released worldwide byEMI label.
* Since 2002 Film score of the very popular Turkish TV series "Kurtlar Vadisi (Valley of the Wolves)", which is released in two albums.

* Since 2004 Film score of "Yabancı Damat " ("The foreign groom"), which is broadcast also in Greece. The corresponding album "Üstüme Basıp Geçme" ("Do not pass by stepping over me") was released 2005 in Turkey, Greece and someEurope an countries.
