Woomera Prohibited Area and is operated by theRoyal Australian Air Force 's Aerospace Operational Support Group (formerly known as the Aircraft Research and Development Unit).The range is used for both civil and military tests.
Several launchers are located near range centreline that points north-west from the Range Head area.
