"Random! Cartoons" is a spin-off of the Nickelodeon animation showcase "Oh Yeah! Cartoons". Produced by Frederator Studios for Nickelodeon, it is set to premiere on Nicktoons Network and its parent channel sometime during December 2008 according to creator Fred Seibert. [ [http://www.frederatorblogs.com/post/5501 Frederator Studios Blogs | Fred Seibert's Blog | Frederator Postcards Series 6.12 ] ] (A specific premiere date, having been delayed several times, is currently unknown.) Thirteen full-length episodes have been ordered for the show, which is also known as "Oh Yeah! Cartoons" fourth season. It is unknown if there is a host this time, nor who will be hosting.

On January 10, 2007, ASIFA-Hollywood hosted an advance screening of six shorts as well as a question and answer session with the filmmakers at the Nicktoons Studios in Burbank, California.
