Ricardo Gomes Raimundo, usually known as Ricardo Gomes or simply Ricardo (born on
December 13 ,1964 inRio de Janeiro ,Brazil ) is a former footballer who played as a central defender forSL Benfica , among other clubs. He was captain of theBrazil national football team at theFIFA World Cup finals in 1990, he was though sent off in the second round game against Argentina, which despite dominating Brazil lost 1-0.
