Whyte notation for the classification ofsteam locomotive s bywheel arrangement , a 2-6-0+0-6-2 is aGarratt articulated locomotive using a pair of2-6-0 power units back to back, with theboiler andcab suspended between them. The 2-6-0 arrangement has a single pair ofleading wheel s in a leading truck followed by sixdriving wheel s (three pairs) rigidly mounted in the locomotive's frame. Since the 2-6-0 type was often called the "Mogul" type, the corresponding Garratt was sometimes known as a "double Mogul".Other equivalent classifications are:
