Grospoliner

Grospoliner is a fictional sword in the "Silent Möbius" manga and anime series, being Katsumi Liqueur's weapon of choice.

Description

Grospoliner (or Grospolina—the exact spelling of the name is difficult to determine) is an extra-dimensional being in the shape of a massive sword. Trapped in an obelisk following the death of its former master, Gigelf Liqueur, Grospoliner was freed by Katsumi; doing so required Katsumi to give the sword some of her blood. This done, Grospoliner was released and able to bond itself with Katsumi, which made the sword effectively weightless to her. It has since become like an extension of Katsumi's own body.

Due to its extraterrestrial origins, Grospoliner is actually a sentient, living organism, and can communicate. It utilizes telepathy to speak with its master and persons around it (though this appears limited to magic users with links to the Lucifer Hawk such as Katsumi and Rally Cheyenne), as well as possessing a limited amount of magical powers (such as levitation). Finally, Grospoliner's intelligence base is immense, as it is able to communicate with various beings, objects and abilities.

* Grospolina measures around 8 feet (2.4 meters) in length.
* Kasumi does not actually hold the sword—it constricts its "hilt" around her hand.
