David Seymour (born 27 September 1984) is a rugby union player who plays on at flanker for Saracens and England Sevens.

In just two seasons, David Seymour has risen from playing for Chinnor Rugby Club to the verge of the full England squad.

Seymour joined Saracens on a full-time academy contract at the start of the 2004/05 season. But after only a few weeks ofpre-season training, he was promoted to the first team squad and made his first full appearance as a replacement for Richard Hill in the London Double Header.

He quickly established himself as a regular in the first team and that season also made his debut at England U21 level in both the Six Nations and World Championships in Argentina.

His progression has been just as fast this season where further international honours have followed. He’s been a part of the England 7s team which won legs of the IRB Series in Dubai, Los Angeles and Hong Kong along with claiming a silver medal at the Commonwealth Games in Melbourne.

Those performances for the Sevens team caught the eye of the senior England management and Seymour was called up to the England Saxons squad for the Churchill Cup in Canada during the summer.

Until he shaw it off recently his pony-tail on the pitch made him highly visible, along with a work rate that made him one of the most promising players in his age group and he will be with Saracens for a further two seasons after signing a new contract in the summer.

David has recently opened the new astroturf at Waddesdon Church of England School.
