Norwegian Army . It is also sold in some shops, and is quite popular because it is very easy to prepare over acampfire orportable stove . A similar commercial product is sold asSnurring . Recently, the Army has started phasing out RSP in favor of theDrytech Field Meal .Other names
RSP has been around a long time, and a number of names for it have been coined over the years.
* "Død mann på boks" or "canned dead man" is the everyday name for RSP in both civilian and military use
* "Tysker på boks" or "canned German", probably coined after the Second World War, less used today
* "Rester av Sprengt Personell" or "remains of blown-up personnel", jokingly used in the military
