David Braid (campaigner)

David Braid (campaigner)

David Braid (born 1937) is a Christian campaigner from the United Kingdom, who has stood in a number of elections to demonstrate for a return to what he regards as Christian moral values. He is based in Liverpool, in which he was a member of the African Church in the city. He is currently the leader of the Clause 28 Children's Protection Christian Democrats party.

Mr Braid, who has used the title "Reverend" in some election campaigns, as well as occasionally using the surname "Franklin-Braid", is a former war-time member of the Royal Air ForceFact|date=November 2007. His electoral material suggests he is vehemently Eurosceptic and is against lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans rights.

He has not had any success in British elections, but has stood in many electoral contests in over 20 years of political life.
