Berinthia "Berry" Berenson (a.k.a. Berry Perkins), (
April 14, 1948– September 11, 2001), was an American photographer, actress, and model who was best known as the wife of actor Anthony Perkins.
Following a brief modeling career in the late 1960s, Berenson became a freelance photographer. By 1973, her photographs had been published in Life [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Life_%28magazine%29] ,

She also appeared in several motion pictures, including "Cat People", with
Malcolm McDowell. She starred opposite Anthony Perkinsin the 1978 Alan Rudolphfilm " Remember My Name" and opposite Jeff Bridgesin the 1979 film " Winter Kills".
Berinthia Berenson was the younger daughter of Robert L. Berenson, an American diplomat turned shipping executive, who was of Lithuanian Jewish descent; his family's original surname was Valvrojenski. In August 1973, in
Cape Cod, Massachusetts, Berenson married the bisexual actor Anthony Perkins; [ [http://www.glbtq.com/arts/perkins_a,2.html glbtq >> arts >> Perkins, Anthony ] ] who later died from complications of AIDSin 1992. Berenson died at age 53 in the September 11, 2001, terrorist attack on
American Airlines Flight 11. She was returning to her California home following a holiday on Cape Cod. In a strange coincidence, at the same time Berenson's plane crashed, her sister, Marisa, was flying from Paris to New York. She landed hours later in Newfoundland, where Marisa's daughter told her of her sister's death by phone.
Her death happened one day before the 9th anniversary of Anthony Perkins' death.
