"Adinkra" are visual
symbols , originally created by the Akan ofGhana and the Gyaman ofCote d'Ivoire inWest Africa , that representconcepts oraphorisms . "Adinkra" are used on fabric, walls, in pottery, woodcarvings and logos. Fabric "adinkra" are often made bywoodcut sign writing as well asscreen printing .
