Machiko Tsutsumi

Machiko Tsutsumi

is a Japanese entrepreneur.

She claims that she was born February 28, 1961 in Minatoku, Tokyo, and her father is an executive of a listed company. But actually she was born in Edogawaku, Tokyo, as a daughter of an owner of a small laundry. Her real name is Tsurumi Masako (鶴見雅子). After graduated of an evening high school in 1977, she worked as a waitress, an office worker, and a bunny girl of a night club. When she got a part-time job in a company called "Shichiyô Kikaku" (七曜企画), she had an affair with the owner, Kubota Yasuo (窪田保夫).

Kubota was a swindler. Originally he was a member of a pyramid scheme company, but in 1981 he started a private prostitution club named Yûgurezoku (夕ぐれ族). So Tsutsumi helped him as a frontwoman of that club. For an advertisement, she often appeared on television, and became the talk of the whole nation. Yûgurezoku had five thousand members, most of them were such specialists as doctors or lawyers.

In December 8 1983, the Metropolitan Police Department arrested Kubota and Tsutsumi. Both of them were convicted as prostititution agents, Kubota was sentenced to two year in prison with three years' suspension of sentence, and Tsutsumi was sentenced to one year in prison with three years' suspension of sentence.

In 1986, they started a telephone club named "Tsutsumi Machiko Mates"(筒見待子メイツ), but failed. In 1991, they started an investment agency named "Sponsor Bank; Tsutsumi Machiko Office"(スポンサーバンク・筒見待子メイツ). But in 1995, they were arrested on suspicion of fraud. In 1997, Kubota was sentenced to three years' and a half imprisonment, and Tsutsumi was sentenced to one year and a half imprisonment.

After released from prison, she worked as a factory worker in Setagayaku, Tokyo. She moved various places in Setagaya, but her apartment was always near Kubota's house.

Because her factory went bankrupt, she returned to her parents' house in Edogawaku. Now she is helping her parents' job as cleaners.
