Quadrics' switch based on
10 Gigabit Ethernet , called QsTenG. QsTenG is an 8U chassis with 12 slots for 10 GigE line cards. Each line card has eight 10 GigE ports that connect using10 GBASE-CX4 connectors (they look like the new "thin" Infiniband cables). The switch can have up to a total of 96 ports of 10 GigE. The remaining four ports on the line card are used internally to connect the line cards in a fat tree configuration.Tech Spec
