Mr. Paul was brought up in Church tradition. His father was Rt.Rev.N.D.Ananda Rao Samuel whose name is known in theological and priestly circles across India. His mother's name was Smt.Florence belonging to Guntur.
Machilipatnam was the ancestral town of Mr.Paul.The Rt.Rev. N.D. Ananda Rao Samuel was a Pastor, a Theological Teacher, a Bishop and a Moderator of the
Church of South India . He was also a member of the Board of Governors ofAndhra Christian Theological College , Hyderabad.ee also
