Marien Tailhandier

Marien Tailhandier, (b. 1665 – d. 1738 or 1739), was a soldier-surgeon after his arrival in Canada in 1685. More importantly, he was a seigneurial notary. In 1702 he became a royal notary and a clerk of court. Tailhandier also was a judge in the seigneurial court of Boucherville. He was a significant figure in the seigneurial system of the time.
