Her centerfold was photographed byPaul Morton Smith andR. Charleton Wilson .At 4' 11", Karla shares the honor of being the shortest Playmate in "Playboy" history with
Sue Williams (April 1965).Karla was raised in Malibu and was an avid surfer. She married the poet
Jon Woodjack and lived with Patrick and Susan Farrow in the hills overlooking Malibu. In 1965 she appeared as a dancer in a promo for the Hondells "Let Me Take You On A Sea Cruise".On
25 January 1967 , while living inLondon , Karla gave birth to a boy, naming him Aaron. She returned to California to work on a film, "Fireball 500 " (1967). Later that year, she moved toAspen, Colorado where she worked as a Bunny at thePlayboy Club there. She also worked at the clubs in Los Angeles,Jamaica , andDenver .In 1968, she began travelling with the
Renaissance Pleasure Faire . She did this for two years, eventually moving toPuerto Vallarta, Mexico to help her father start a restaurant business. After that, she spent several years inCentral America . Finally, in 1978, she settled down inHawaii and made it her home.She has started going by the name Sachi and become an artist. In 1999 she illustrated the book Turtle Songs, a Tale For Mothers and Daughters, by Margaret Olivia Wolfson.
